My mom gives a talk about the history of aprons. It’s popular with senior groups, nursing homes and school visits. She’s even written an article about how to give a similar presentation. You can read it on eHow. As part of the talk, she reads a piece she wrote called “Mother’s Apron.” It is from her book, My Flint Hills Childhood: Growing Up in 1930s Kansas.
