    Oh my how wonderful you have caught my favorite Kansas flower in full bloom. Next time you are in Kansas in the fall we must show you the purple thistles. They are a great contrast to the sunflowers. It is hard to get a good shot of flowers like this one as they are always swaying in the wind.

    I never have been crazy about sun flowers. I have always thought they were kind of gawky but recently I helped my grand daughter do a homework assignment on sunflowers and found they are absolutely fascinating. Your picture is brilliant. It captures the true beauty of the flower. Thanks for sharing.
